Nancy Jane (Christensen) Danielson was born on November 22, 1958 in Ortonville, MN to Hans & Rose (Albright) Christensen of Odessa, MN. She was baptized on February 8, 1959 and confirmed on May 2, 1973 with the confirmation verse of John 15:5 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Odessa, MN. Her godparents were Lloyd & Viola Larson. Nancy attended grade school in Odessa and high school in Ortonville, MN where she graduated with the class of 1977. She then continued her education in Alexandria for medical secretary. Nancy married Steven Danielson on Oct 22, 1983 and divorced in 2004.
Nancy lived in Savage, MN and worked at the Arthritis & Rheumatology Consults in Edina, MN for 39 years. She was very committed and passionate about her job and truly enjoyed helping others and thought of her co-workers as family. Many of her patients she worked with spoke very highly of her and always enjoyed visiting with her and seeing her beautiful smile.
Nancy loved to garden. Spring time was her happy time as she then could plant her flowers and prepare her garden. She made sure that others always received her produce. Flowers made her smile! She enjoyed baking and was famous for her angel food cake. Nancy also enjoyed watching the MN Vikings and watching old time moves and old time game shows. She loved her family and was proud to be an aunt to her nieces and nephews and made sure she spoiled them every chance she had. She always thought of others first before herself.
Her fight began 6 weeks ago when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was determined to fight this battle with all she had and knew with the support of her friends and family she could do this. God had a different plan for her and called her to her heavenly home on October 25, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister Judy (Larry) Ninneman of Hutchinson, MN, brother Randy (Brenda) Christensen of Big Stone City, SD and sister-in-law Sue Christensen of Big Stone City, SD, niece Carman (Ken) Settergren of Darwin, MN, nephews Corey (Kris) Ninneman of Hutchinson, MN, Josh Kafka of Ortonville, MN and Luke (Natalee) Kafka of West Fargo, ND and 4 great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nieces and nephews and several close friends.
Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents Hans & Rose Christensen, siblings Dennis, Gary (Ike), Cindy, and nephew Zach Kafka.
Her fight was our fight and we will fight on in her memory!
