Olwen (Pat) Wollschlager was born January 13, 1928 in London, England. She attended the Church of England with her mother during her early years and later was baptized and confirmed in the St. Joseph's Catholic in September 1944 in Epson, England.. On June 6, 1947 Olwen was united in marriage with Linus Wollschlager at St. Michael’s Church in Madison. This union was blessed with eleven children.
Olwen grew up in and around the surrounding counties of London, England. Her parents divorced when she was an infant forcing her mother to go into service in Epson, Surrey. Olwen was able to stay with her mother until she was five years old and it was time for her to go to school. She then went to live in a Children’s Home in Lowestoft, a city near the North Sea. She lived there until she was 11 and the impending war with Germany necessitated the need to be transferred to the Children’s Home in Torquay, England, another seaside city in Southwest England. She lived there until she was 14 when she herself was then required to go into service close to her mother in Epsom, Surrey. Even though she experienced a challenging young life, Olwen always found the beauty in nature, loving the sea and birds and developing her talent of knitting and painting. She enjoyed books, movies and music singing many of the tunes she listened to.
It was during her time back in Epsom she met Linus. He was there with a fellow infantryman on a short leave from his base in Germany. They soon knew that they were meant for each other and continued to correspond during the remainder of WWII. It was in 1947 that courageous Olwen boarded a ship to sail to America to be with Linus forever.
Olwen and Linus lived on a farm within a couple miles of Madison. Her talents expanded exponentially, becoming an amazing cook, baker, gardener, seamstress, etc., all the while she raised 11 children.
Once her children grew older, she started working at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson where she was dearly loved. She was affectionately known as “Pat”. Olwen enjoyed traveling, both with friends and family, seeing many of the sights she only read about back in England.
But her biggest devotion was to her children and grandchildren. Olwen will be remembered for her wit, her songs, her beautiful smile and caring way with everyone.
Death came to Olwen on June 21, 2018 at Grace Haven Assisted Living. She had reached the age of 90 years, 5 months and 21 days.

Olwen is preceded in death by her mother Annie May Marks; husband Linus Wollschlager; granddaughter Erin Walberg; grandson Bradley Leeder; Son-in-Law Wayne Tritbough and son-in-law Leroy Nelson.
Olwen (Pat) Wollschlager is survived by children; Julia and Doug Bakeberg of Clara City, MN; Sharon and Ralph Leeder of St. Louis Park, MN; Alice Wollschlager of Inver Grove Heights, MN; Mary Ann and Steve Miller of Spring Park, MN; Rosella and Terry Anderson of Madison, MN; Warren Wollschlager and Barb Billiet of Madison, MN; Linda Tritbough Norris of Eden Prairie, Janet Nelson of Madison, MN; Lisa and David Landsman of Lake Benton, MN; Rebecca and Kelvin Weber of Madison, MN and Maurice Wollschlager of Madison; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and her sister Ann Bearns of Epsom, Surrey, England.
