Obituary for Virginia (Reisdorph) Luedtke

The Zahrbock Funeral Home announces the death of 86 year old Virginia (Reisdorph) Luedtke of Fort Myers, FL formerly of Louisburg, MN who passed away on April 4, 2017 at Fort Myers, FL. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Louisburg Lutheran Church, Louisburg, MN with Rev. Elan Hacker officiating at the service. Burial will be in the Louisburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017 starting at 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a special sharing time at 6:30 p.m. at the Zahrbock Funeral Home in Madison. Visitation will continue at the church before the services on Thursday. Virginia Lou Mattson (Reisdorph) Luedtke passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 4th in Fort Myers Florida. Ginny was born Oct 21, 1930 to Alfred O. and Mabel A. (Mahle) Mattson in Madison Minnesota. She graduated From Madison High School in 1948. She went on to Abbott Hospital University in Minneapolis to earn a degree as an X-ray technician. Ginnie married Charles J Reisdorph of Ortonville Minnesota on October 27th 1950. After his service in the U.S. Army, Charles and Virginia moved to Coral Gables Florida in 1959 and Charles began a career in real estate sales. They moved to Naples Florida in 1964 where he was Divisional President for Ruttenberg Homes and later Divisional President of U.S. Homes. Ginnie was very involved in the Republican Party during their years living in Coral Gables and Naples. After Charles passed away, (1974) Ginnie married William Luedtke in 1979 and helped with his pharmaceutical business until they both retired. Being close to family was a priority as they brought the family to Minnesota every summer to spend time with her sisters and all the nieces and nephews. Regular family reunions were a much looked forward to event. Ginnie loved playing tennis and was an avid golfer with three hole-in-ones at her favorite course in Fiddlesticks CC. She enjoyed going to the beach and working in her yard planting flowers. She traveled all over the world with both husbands. Even long after her children were grown, she loved spending summers in her home town of Madison visiting her sisters, cousins and friends. Ginnie was made an official Centurion Farmer of Minnesota with her farm (KIng of Trails) that her Grandfather Mahle originally purchased from the Sioux indians in 1880. Ginnie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mabel Mattson, her husband Charles in 1974, her husband William A. Luedtke in 2011, her sister Donna Erickson of Rochelle Illinois and son-in-law Steven Kress (Nancy). Ginnie is survived by her two children, Nancy Kress of Fort Myers, Kent (Mary Boylan) Reisdorph of Fort Myers Florida, step daughter Nancy Stouffer (John) of Wisconsin, step daughter Barbara Davis (Rich) of Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Lynn (Brian) Nealon of Atlanta, Kara Reisdorph of Missoula Montana, Matthew Kress of Fort Myers, Bradley Davis, Stephan Davis, two great grandchildren, Liam and Owen Nealon; two sisters, Carol Nelson and Adele (Chuck) Miller both of Madison Minnesota; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
