Keith Erwin Hansen Tuesday, April 19, 1955 - Monday, June 26, 2017

The Zahrbock Funeral Home of Madison announces the death of 62 year old Keith Hansen of Louisburg, MN who passed away on June 26, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m, Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Louisburg Lutheran Church of Louisburg. Rev. Elan Hacker will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Louisburg Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 29, 2017 starting at 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Zahrbock Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will continue before the services on Friday at the church. Keith Erwin Hansen was born on April 19, 1955 in Willmar, MN. His parents were Charles and Doris (Dahlgren) Hansen. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Bellingham, MN. Keith attended and graduated from Madison High School in 1973. After high school, Keith served his country by joining the Air Force in which he served for 4 years. He came home to farm with his father and took over the farm after his dad retired. Keith was united in marriage to Sheri Krejci on March 29, 1980 at the Louisburg Lutheran Church. To his union two children were born. They continued to farm until Keith’s death. Keith loved to farm and watch the crops grow. In life, Keith enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, boating, fishing and camping. Death came to Keith on June 26, 2017 at his home. He had reached the age of 62 years, 2 months. Left to mourn Keith’s life are his wife, Sheri Hansen, his children Kelly (Jeremy) Michaelson of Benson, MN, Kevin Hansen of Eau Claire, WI, grandchildren Averi, Jaden and Stella, his sister Jan (Mike) Campbell of Lee’s Summit, MO and many other relatives. Dear Kevin and family,

I am so deeply sorry for your loss.  I know how much your father meant to you with the stories you told us while in grad school.  I also remember how proud your father was at your dissertation defense.  He was just beaming! I know you were a very good son to him and I know you will continue to be a very good son for your mother.  Please know you, your father, mother, and entire family will be in our thoughts and prayers.  Jim and I are sending our deepest condolences.
