Obituary

The Zahrbock Funeral Home of Madison announces the death of 63 year old Randy Hiepler of Madison, who passed away at the family lake home on Big Stone Lake last Friday. A family memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2018 in the Chapel of the Zahrbock Funeral Home in Madison. The concluding service and burial will take place in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of service in the funeral home. Randall Dale Hiepler was born on August 27, 1954 to parents Donald and Adella (Karels) Hiepler in Madison, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Faith. He attended school in Madison and graduated in 1973. He then attended Mankato State College for Computer Science. Randy found employment with the area libraries where he worked in Madison, Milan and Ortonville Libraries. In life, Randy enjoyed reading, traveling, walking on the beach, bonfires, tinkering, fishing and especially visiting with others. Randy is survived by the love of life Emily Ocan, his brother Jim Hiepler, niece and nephews and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Adella Hiepler and brother Robert Hiepler.
